Polish shopping platform IdoSell has become the majority owner of the largest e-commerce company in Hungary. Both IdoSell and Shoprenter are e-commerce leaders in their respective countries. - Polish and Hungarian e-commerce markets are developing very dynamically. This in turn requires extensive activities. IdoSell was one of the first globally operating SaaS shopping platforms. We believe that our more than 20-year experience can help develop e-commercein Poland and Hungary and other world markets - says Paweł Fornalski, CEO of IdoSell.
IdoSell is the largest and most profitable e-commerce platform in Poland. During the pandemic, it has significantly strengthened its position on the market. During that time IdoSell's online stores generated GMV (total value of transactions concluded on the platform) of 12,5 billion PLN. This is three times more than the second largest platform in Poland.
Until recently, IdoSell focused mainly on the Polish market. However, domestic companies are increasingly actively selling outside Polish borders. As a result, the company began to conduct comprehensive support activities for sellers across Europe and the USA.
The huge success in Poland and a clear technological advantage over the competition made Shoprenter, a leading Hungarian e-commerce platform, decide to sell a controlling stake to the company in exchange for helping it achieve similar success in Hungary.
- Constant investment in IdoSell development and top-quality solutions made many professional sellers trust us. Thanks to that, the shops operating on IdoSell began to constitute as much as 17% of the entire Polish e-commerce market (compared to 49% for Allegro). Our successes have been noticed in the European markets. That's why Shoprenter decided that the best option for further development would be to merge the company with IdoSell - says Paweł Fornalski.
IdoSell was able to afford the purchase of a majority stake in Shoprenter thanks to,among others things, the support of MCI - a leading Polish investment fund that supports the development of new technologies and has been the majority shareholder of IdoSell since 2019.
- There are no borders in e-commerce. Modern e-commerce will be oriented around this trend. IdoSell supports sellers in the integration of the European market - explains Paweł Fornalski.
IdoSell supports nearly 6,500 online shops, supports their development, and maximizes sales results. The service is used, among others, by Denley, Humbi, E-zebra, Royal Fashion, Ozonee, Primavera, Paese, or ZooArt. In 2020, more than 50 million transactions worth PLN 12.5 billion were made in online shops based on the IdoSell platform.
